Decision infrastructure for benchmarking and valuation data services
Benchmarking, index and valuation services own reference data that is difficult and expensive to assemble. What they usually do not own is the workflow where that data is applied: a mandate-aware assessment, a valuation a committee signs off, a report an investor receives. Reuben AI supplies that workflow behind the data provider's brand, with the provider's data attributed wherever it supports a finding.
A benchmarking or valuation service is bought because the reference set is hard to build: peer groups, multiples, discount rates, performance series, sector definitions maintained over time. The commercial problem is that reference data is consumed at the moment of a decision, and the decision happens in someone else's system. The provider sees a query, not an outcome, and renewal conversations turn on usage counts rather than on work the client could not do without you.
Moving up into the workflow is the obvious response, and it is a large build. A valuation workflow needs entity and instrument modelling, evidence intake, approval chains, retention and audit trails long before it needs a number. Most providers correctly conclude that this is not where their engineering advantage lies.
Embedding closes the distance without the build. The provider's surface gains mandate-aware screening, structured diligence, valuation workflow with approval and provenance, and investor reporting. The provider's own data is used as an input and attributed as a source on every finding it supports, which is a stronger commercial position than a metered query: the data is now inside a record the client keeps and can be asked to defend.
Reuben AI is software. It is not an auditor, a valuation firm or an adviser, and it does not certify a valuation. Methodology and any opinion remain the provider's and the client's.
What you already own
- The reference set: peers, multiples, series, sector definitions
- Methodology and its documentation
- Client relationships across managers, auditors and allocators
- Distribution and licensing of the data itself
What is missing today
- The workflow where the data is applied to a specific entity or position
- Evidence intake, approval chains and retained provenance
- Attribution of the provider's data inside the client's own record
- Reporting output that carries the numbers through to an investor
How the layer applies
Research and decisioning
Apply the reference set inside a mandate-aware assessment rather than a standalone lookup.
Diligence and evidence
Attribute provider data as a source, with the tier that established it, on every claim it supports.
Transaction and onboarding workflow
Valuation and approval workflow with evidence captured once and reused.
Portfolio and reporting operations
Carry the numbers through to investor statements and committee packs with provenance intact.
Integration surface
- Data exchange, with provider data attributed as a source
- API for assessment, valuation workflow and reporting output
- Embedded components inside the provider's existing research surface
- MCP so the provider's own agents work on scoped records
Your surface, your brand

Questions from this archetype
Does our data get pooled into a shared model?
No. Provider data is used as an attributed input within tenant boundaries. Nothing is pooled across tenants to build a shared model of anyone's flow.
Who owns the methodology?
You do. The layer applies inputs inside a workflow and records what was used. It does not substitute its own methodology for yours.
Is this a competitor to our data business?
It sits above it. Reuben AI does not sell reference data, and in a data exchange arrangement the provider's data is the input the workflow attributes.
