Decision infrastructure for feeder and access platforms

Feeder and access platforms solve the structural problem: minimums, aggregation, eligibility and administration for investors who could not reach a fund directly. What they rarely solve is the decision problem, because an investor or adviser still has to judge whether a given fund fits a mandate. Reuben AI supplies mandate-aware screening, evidence-backed diligence and the operational workflow around the commitment, behind the platform brand.

Access is a structural achievement. Aggregating smaller commitments into a vehicle that a manager will accept, handling eligibility evidence, and running the subscription and capital event machinery is genuinely difficult work, and platforms that do it well earn their position. The result is a menu: a set of funds an investor can now reach.

A menu is not a decision. The adviser or investor looking at it has a mandate, an existing portfolio, liquidity constraints and a committee or client to answer to. Almost none of that lives on the access platform, so the judgement happens in a spreadsheet somewhere else and the platform sees only the outcome. The platform also carries a suitability question it cannot fully evidence, because it has no record of the reasoning behind each allocation.

An embedded decision layer changes both. Each investor or adviser tenant holds a written mandate. Every fund on the menu is assessed against that mandate rather than presented identically to everyone. Diligence output carries its sources and how each source was established, so an adviser can hand it to a client or a committee. The operational workflow that follows, from eligibility evidence to commitment to capital events to reporting, runs on the same records.

Reuben AI is software. It does not hold client money, settle transactions, act as a licensed administrator or trustee, or provide advice. The platform keeps the client, the brand, the pricing and every regulated responsibility it already carries.

    What you already own

    • Structuring and aggregation into an accessible vehicle
    • Manager relationships and the fund menu
    • Eligibility, onboarding and subscription operations
    • The adviser and investor relationship

    What is missing today

    • Mandate-aware assessment per investor rather than one shared fund page
    • Diligence output an adviser can defend to a client or committee
    • A retained record of why each allocation was made or declined
    • Portfolio-level view once commitments sit across several vehicles

    How the layer applies

    Research and decisioning

Assess every fund on the menu against each investor or adviser mandate, and keep the reasoning.

    Diligence and evidence

Turn manager material into findings with tiered source attribution rather than a marketing summary.

    Transaction and onboarding workflow

Eligibility, commitment, capital calls and distributions on the records that fed the decision.

    Portfolio and reporting operations

Consolidated positions and statements across vehicles, generated from live records.

    Integration surface

    • Embedded components inside the fund detail and adviser views
    • API for fund and document ingestion, decision and evidence output
    • White-label surface for adviser-facing portfolios and reporting
    • SSO against the existing adviser and investor identity

    Questions from this archetype

Does this make us look like an adviser?

No. The layer produces assessment and evidence against a mandate the tenant sets. It does not make recommendations, and Reuben AI is not an investment adviser. Whatever suitability duties the platform already carries stay with the platform.

Can each adviser have a different mandate?

Yes. Mandate is held per tenant, so two advisers looking at the same fund can receive different reasoning.

Do we have to move our subscription operations?

No. Where a subscription, transfer agency or administration step already runs elsewhere, the layer records and coordinates it rather than replacing it.
